In our opinion Robert Heritage is one of the truly great British designers and we are very fond of his work. His sideboards, dining tables and dining chairs are not only extremely well designed but are also extremely well made. These specific Robert Heritage Hamilton dining chairs are considered to be one of the most comfortable mid-century designed dining chairs on the market. If long hours spent at the dining table with family and friends is your thing and a set of 8 is a good size for you then maybe these could be the chair for you.
The chairs are made up of a fully upholstered seat frame that’s sit atop a beautiful rosewood leg frame. If you look closely at the photographs the padded seats almost look like they just loosely sit on the top of the leg frame, its as if they are not joined. It’s a wonderful effortless design. Then there is also the fact that rosewood is not in use since 1978 so it’s impossible to make chairs like this anymore, not in rosewood.
The chairs were purchased in the UK. They have been reupholstered in a modern tweed like fabric. All the wood has been hand polished, every joint checked and re glued where necessary. The chairs are comfortable, sturdy and ready to deliver, no waiting time.
