When I bought this Illum Wikkelso ML90 Sofa it was black leather and had a ton of cat claw marks all over the sides. I personally love recovering Danish leather sofas in modern bright coloured velvet fabrics so I had a few meters of this powder blue cotton velvet that I felt would make a dowdy enough black leather covered piece sing and for me the results are exactly what I had hoped. For me this sofa now sings !! the shapely legs and the curved arms etc all now have their own space and then come together in beautiful unison to give this piece real presence.
The piece was designed by Illum Wikkelso who is a firm favourite designer of ours. It’s a very comfortable sofa to sit in and one could definitely have a quick nap on it too (with the aid of a few cushions as a pillow). The velvet is a high quality cotton velvet. The sofa will comfortable seat 3. I hope this sofa looks as well in photos as it does in real life.
